Submitting Your Sitemap

You can submit your sitemap directly to Google via the Google Search Console. This makes it easier for Google to crawl and index your site.

To submit your sitemap:

  1. Select your site on your Google Search Console home page.
  2. Click Crawl.
  3. Click Sitemaps.
  4. Click ADD/TEST SITEMAP.
  5. Type sitemap.xml.
  6. Click Submit Sitemap.

Notes:

  • We recommend submitting your sitemap after making any changes to your website. Such as creating new pages, or adding new images that impact your website.
  • In order to successfully submit your sitemap to Google, you must first verify your domain with Google Search Console. Once verified, Google will identify you as the site owner.
