==General Settings==

The exact steps to set up your email client differ based on the client. In general you will need the following information. This assumes that you've created an email address in the email tab of your account already.

===Incoming Mail Servers===
====IMAP====

Configuration (Recommended):

* IMAP Server: <tt>mail.mboxlogin.com</tt>
* IMAP Port: 143
* Connection Security: TLS/STARTTLS
* Username: the email address you are checking
* Password: the password for this address. You can change this in the Manage tab for the email account in question.

Alternative Configuration:

* IMAP Server: <tt>mail.mboxlogin.com</tt>
* IMAP Port: 993
* Connection Security: SSL
* Username: the email address you are checking
* Password: the password for this address. You can change this in the Manage tab for the email account in question.
* Authentication Type: Password

====POP3====

POP3 is an older method of checking mail. It should only be used if your e-mail client doesn't support IMAP, since POP3 doesn't support checking mail from multiple locations, and by default it doesn't store messages on the server.

Configuration (Recommended):
* POP3 Server: <tt>mail.mboxlogin.com</tt>
* POP3 Port: 110
* Connection Security: TLS/STARTTLS
* Username: the email address you are checking
* Password: the password for this address. You can change this in the Manage tab for the email account in question.

* POP3 Port: 995
* Connection Security: SSL

===Outgoing Mail Servers===

Outgoing mail uses SMTP. The information you need for that:

Configuration (Recommended):

* SMTP server: <tt>mail.mboxlogin.com</tt>
* SMTP port: 587
* Connection Security: TLS/STARTTLS (secure),
* Username: the e-mail address you are checking
* Password: the password for this address. You can change this in the Manage tab for the email account in question.
* This outgoing mail server requires authentication

Alternative Configuration:

* SMTP server: <tt>mail.mboxlogin.com</tt>
* SMTP port: 465
* Connection Security: SSL
* Username: the e-mail address you are checking
* Password: the password for this address. You can change this in the Manage tab for the email account in question.
* This outgoing mail server requires authentication

===Email Filter Management===

Email Filters can be managed by logging into the Webmail Interface, at webmail.mboxlogin.com, as well as software that supports managesieve.

Most email setups will not need this.

* ManageSieve Port: 4190
* Connection Security: TLS/STARTTLS (secure)
* Username: the e-mail address you are checking
